They're for playing puzzley games in real time. - Each of them has a pinned message to explain the rules of the game. Anyone is welcome to take part, and the room owners tend to be people who are particularly active players of the game (or, sometimes, bots whose automatic pinning powers are necessary for playing the game). **Contact** - [Direct link to chatroom](http://chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/53490/contact) - [Summarised rules in a pinned message](http://chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/53490?m=36418054#36418054) - [Detailed rules here on this meta thread](https://puzzling.meta.stackexchange.com/a/5992/5373) **Codenames** - [Direct link to chatroom](http://chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/59120/codenames) - [Summarised rules in a pinned message](http://chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/59120?m=37582018#37582018) - [Detailed rules here on this meta thread](https://puzzling.meta.stackexchange.com/a/5989/5373) **Spyfall** - [Direct link to chatroom](https://chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/59652/spyfall) - [Summarised rules in a pinned message](http://chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/59652?m=37789963#37789963) - [Detailed rules here on this meta thread](https://puzzling.meta.stackexchange.com/a/5991/5373) **Zendo** - [Direct link to chatroom](https://chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/63829/zendo) - [Summarised rules in a pinned message](https://chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/39586196#39586196) - Detailed rules here on this meta thread - NEEDS MAKING! **Strupremum** - [Direct link to chatroom](https://chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/87064/strupremum) - [Summarised rules in a pinned message](https://chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/87064?m=48053019#48053019) - Detailed rules here on this meta thread - NEEDS MAKING! ---- **General notes** * External research is not allowed in any of the games. This includes, for instance, if you are the defender in Contact or the SpyMaster in Codenames. No Googling, Wikipedia, etc. * Some users have adopted a "waving" convention in the rooms to signal readiness to play. Sending `O/` (capital O) means you're able to play and willing to take the "leader" role in the game - such as defending in Contact, SpyMaster in Codenames, etc. `0/` (zero) means you *could* do the same as `O/` but would prefer to be a normal player. `o/` (lowercase o) means you can play as a normal player but not take on the "leader" role. * You can always ask if anyone's up for a game, but it's best not to start *pinging* people to come and play unless you have three or more (or one below the minimum) people around and ready to play.
